Kauffman Center open house, Sept. 18

After two nights of gala performances that were sold out well in advance, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts threw open its doors Sunday for a free public open house. Thousands of visitors showed up, and many of them were greeted personally by philanthropist Julia Irene Kauffman.
